Definition of Family Members. For the purposes of this article, immediate family includes parent, child, sibling, spouse, grandparent, grandchild, equivalent in-laws, and domestic partners. Relatives not listed who reside in the employee’s household are also included in the definition. For employees taking time off under a particular Oregon State and/or federal law, the definition of family member will be as defined by the appropriate Oregon State and/or federal law.
Definition of Family Members i. Spouse (includes common law marriage in States where it is recognized);
ii. Son or Daughter is defined in terms of the child’s age and relationship to the employee. Age: son or daughter who is either under eighteen (18) years of age, or 18 years of age or older and incapable of self-care due to mental/physical disabilities; Relationship: a biological, adopted, or xxxxxx child, stepchild, a legal xxxx, or a child of a person standing in loco parentis.
iii. Parent is defined as the employee’s biological parent or an individual who stands or stood in loco parentis to the employee when the employee was a son or daughter.
Definition of Family Members. In addition to the leave rights provided by the FMLA (care for a child, spouse, or parent), employees shall be permitted up to 12 unpaid weeks of leave per year to care for a family member for whom they can provide documentation that they are the primary caregiver.
Definition of Family Members. For purposes of this Agreement, "family" shall include the employee's spouse or domestic partner, parents, step-‐parents, or legal guardians, children, step-‐children, or wards, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, as well as the same relations of the employee's spouse or domestic partner.
