Common use of Academic Achievement Goals Clause in Contracts

Academic Achievement Goals. First Year of this Contract. By October 15th of the first year of this Contract (or if the data is released later by the State, within a reasonable time thereafter), the School shall provide its proposed academic achievement goals for the grades being served in the current year to the Sponsor. The academic achievement goals shall include, at a minimum, growth and proficiency on state assessments, and may include performance on additional assessments included in the approved charter application. If the School will not serve students in grades that participate in the statewide assessments the academic achievement goals shall be based on the assessments included in the approved application, and at least one assessment administered in traditional public schools in the District. The Sponsor shall review the proposed academic achievement goals within 30 days of receipt. If the Sponsor does not accept the proposed academic achievement goals it shall provide the School a written explanation. i. If the School and Sponsor cannot agree on academic achievement goals either party may request mediation pursuant to section 1002.33(6), Florida Statutes. If the Sponsor does not provide written notification within 30 days of receipt, the goals shall be deemed accepted by the Sponsor.
