Academic Freedom/Nondiscrimination. A. The unit member has the right to perform his/her professional responsibilities in the classroom in ways he/she believes will best encourage a broad and complete understanding of educational subject matter. Such right shall be exercised within the bounds of professional responsibility and Board educational philosophy and curricula. B. The Board shall not discriminate against employees with regard to disability, race, color, creed, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, marital status, age, political affiliations or opinions. All provisions of the Agreement, Board Policy, and any Building Policies shall be uniformly applied and administered for all employees of the bargaining unit.
