Academic Teaching License. If the license is an academic teaching license, then subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, AWR hereby grants Customer, solely during the License Term, a non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-transferable license to use the Software solely for instructional purposes in Customer’s department, college, or on a specific university campus, in each case, of an Academic Institution, depending on the option selected in the Proof of License applicable purchase order. A use will be considered as one for “instructional purposes” only if such use meets either of the following criteria: (i) a common exam is given to Students at the end of a semester or other academic period and the exam relates (in whole or part) to the Students use of the Software or (ii) homework or similar projects requiring the use of the Software are used for grading in lieu of an exam. Customer may install the Software on no more than the number of Customer’s Academic Institution s Designated Equipment items (located within the applicable department, college, or specific university campus) specified by AWR in writing in the Proof of License. If any of the Designated Equipment items on which the Software may be installed is a laptop, notebook or similar portable computer, Customer may use the Software on the portable computer while temporarily away from Customer’s Academic Institution’s classroom, lab, or other facilities for the same purpose permitted by this Agreement as Customer normally would use the Software on the portable computer while in such facilities. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, any use of the Software by any person who is not an Instructor at Customer’s Academic Institution or any use for research, commercial, or industrial purposes under this Agreement is prohibited.

  • Academic Year Academic Year is defined as beginning with the start of fall semester and ending with the completion of spring semester.

  • Team Teaching Unit members participating in team teaching assignments will receive formula hour credit in proportion to the percentage of in-class involvement. When team-taught class sizes exceed the normal, the formula conditions specified in Section 4.3.3 shall apply.

  • Developer License We grant you a non-assignable, non-sublicensable, non-exclusive, worldwide right and license for the number of Developer(s) indicated in the Order Form to install the Software on any number of Machines in order to internally use the Software to create, develop and test Applications. For clarity, a single Software license may be re-allocated to another Developer in the event that the original Developer is no longer employed by you or has been assigned to a new role where access to the Software will no longer be required on a permanent basis.

  • Teaching Loads The range of teaching loads, number of preparations and number of pupil contacts required should provide for effective instruction and meaningful teacher-student interaction. DPS and the Association agree to work together to seek increased state funding to decrease class size. The principal shall report to the CSC, after the roster verification process, the number of students in each class and this will be published in the CSC minutes on the school’s website. For the purposes of this section, a “class” shall be defined as any general education, including electives and model one classes. Upon request, after the roster verification process, the District shall provide the Association with the student information management system data regarding class enrollment.

  • Academic Program The Charter School shall operate the academic program in accordance with this Agreement, the Charter School’s Application, and applicable state and federal law, including providing at least the same equivalent time of instruction as other public schools and complying with assessment and accountability laws and rules (T.C.A. § 49-13-111). If the Charter School is performing below standards, the Authorizer may review the academic program. The Charter School will notify the Authorizer of any material changes to the academic program that are a change from the Charter School’s Application, and the Authorizer will evaluate to determine if they are material changes to this Agreement. Any changes to the school structure shall be considered material to this Agreement and shall not be permitted unless a formal amendment to this Agreement is secured in advance according to the provisions outlined in T.C.A. § 49-13-110(d), Commission Rule 1185-01-01-.04, and this Agreement. For purposes of this Agreement, school structure shall be defined as the academic focus or goals of the Charter School and grade levels served.

  • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term. The following equivalencies will be used in determining teaching assignments:

  • Clinical 2.1 Provides comprehensive evidence based nursing care to patients including assessment, intervention and evaluation.

  • Academic Leave Subject to the recommendation of the President/Superintendent and to approval of the Board of Trustees, academic leave may be granted to full-time tenured faculty members for the purpose of academic study or work experience related to their area of instruction for a period of one or two semesters. Individuals granted this type of leave will not receive salary from the District during the period they are on academic leave.
