Common use of Accumulation of Seniority Clause in Contracts

Accumulation of Seniority. Seniority shall continue to accumulate during any paid leave, and for the first thirty (30) days of any unpaid leave. An employee returning from an extended unpaid leave of absence shall be credited with the amount of seniority s/he had when s/he left. Seniority shall continue to accumulate during the entire period of a pregnancy and parental leave, sick leave or Union leave.
