Acquisition of Educational Training. 1. Paraprofessionals who attain a passing score on Para-­‐Pro, as determined by the NJDOE, shall be compensated according to the Para-­‐Pro lane of the prevailing paraprofessional guide. 2. Paraprofessionals who acquire an Associate Degree or sixty (60) undergraduate credits towards an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a field relevant to education shall be compensated according to the 60 credits lane of the prevailing paraprofessional guide. 3. Paraprofessionals who acquire ninety (90) undergraduate credits toward a Bachelor's Degree in a field relevant to education shall be compensated according to the 90 credit lane of the prevailing paraprofessional guide. 4. Paraprofessionals who acquire or hold a Bachelor's Degree in a field relevant to education and Teacher Certification, (Standard or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing) shall be compensated according to the BA/ certificate lane of the paraprofessional guide. 5. Paraprofessionals are required to provide the Human Resources Department with official documentation and a written request for a salary adjustment, upon qualifying for an adjustment as identified above.

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training

  • Additional Training Should the introduction of new methods of operation create a need for the perfection or acquisition of skills requiring a training period longer than one (1) year, the additional training time shall be a subject for discussion between the Board and the Union.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Health Promotion and Health Education Both parties to this Agreement recognize the value and importance of health promotion and health education programs. Such programs can assist employees and their dependents to maintain and enhance their health, and to make appropriate use of the health care system. To work toward these goals:

  • Outreach and Education The agencies agree to coordinate, conduct joint outreach presentations, and prepare and distribute publications, when appropriate, for the regulated community of common concern. • The agencies agree to work with each other to provide a side-by-side comparison of laws with overlapping provisions and jurisdiction. • The agencies agree to provide a hyperlink on each agency’s website linking users directly to the outreach materials in areas of mutual jurisdiction and concern. • The agencies agree to jointly disseminate outreach materials to the regulated community, when appropriate. • All materials bearing the DOL or DOL/WHD name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by DOL. • All materials bearing the OEAS name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by OEAS.

  • Educational Assistance Section 1. Tuition reimbursement shall be provided to employees covered by this collective bargaining AGREEMENT under the same terms and conditions, policies and procedures as the rest of Hennepin County and reflecting a county–wide pool for funding. See Hennepin County Tuition Reimbursement Policy Frequently Asked Questions Section 2. Where courses are required and certified by the appointing authority as essential to current job performance, such appointing authority shall grant 100% reimbursement for tuition, required fees and required study materials. Section 3. At the request of an employee, an Individual Development Plan shall be established. Any employee making the request shall be provided with paid time to work with their Supervisor or Human Resources to develop a training plan for career development within Hennepin County. Human Resources will be a source of career information, and postings, in which the employee may have an interest. Time allotted for this activity and the training plan adopted shall be subject to mutual agreement of the Employee and Supervisor.

  • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Employee Training The Provider shall provide periodic security training to those of its employees who operate or have access to the system. Further, Provider shall provide LEA with contact information of an employee who LEA may contact if there are any security concerns or questions.
