Additional Work Time. 1. In addition to the basic schedule, professional employees shall be compensated for daily assignments that extend beyond the classroom schedule. Training and work programs in excess of the regular school year, to which staff members are assigned annually, shall be made a part of the individual's regular contract. 2. Should the District elect to hire professional employees on an hourly basis for tutoring, summer school, homebound, or night school, such hourly rate will be compensated at 100% of the hourly rate of BS Step 1 (Tutoring is defined as instructional support for identified students as designated by the school administrator. Payment of the hourly rate is only for tutoring that occurs before or after the student school day.)
