ADJUSTMENTS TO THE SCHEDULED WORKWEEK FOR NONEXEMPT EMPLOYEES a. The SMCPS has the right to schedule a normal workweek for five, eight hour days in any period of seven consecutive days, on any basis including a split period of days; e.g., Monday through Wednesday and Saturday and Sunday, to cover the needs of the school system. Except in cases of emergency, SMCPS will provide the employee with ten workdays notice if it is an involuntary change in the workweek.

Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of one-and-one-half times for work on the holiday.
