Common use of Adoption Days Clause in Contracts

Adoption Days. 1. The District shall grant adoption days to any teacher who makes a written application for such absence. 2. A teacher shall notify the Superintendent, in writing, when the teacher enters an adoption program. 3. Upon learning of the date of home placement, a teacher shall inform the Superintendent, in writing, the commencement date, return date, and that he/she plans to utilize up to six (6) consecutive weeks of accrued sick leave days to accommodate the placement and adoption of the child. 4. Days used pursuant to this section shall be deducted from accumulated leave days.
