Common use of Alternative Scheduling Clause in Contracts

Alternative Scheduling. Employees will be considered for alternative work scheduling on a case-by-case basis, where flexible work schedules can accomplish both work and personal goals, to provide coverage for individual department operations and to serve the institution as a whole with increased productivity at no expense to the College’s level of service. If, as a result of short-term major project work, a staff member is required to work significant hours in excess of their regularly scheduled work week, the employee’s supervisor may, in collaboration with the staff member, develop an alternate work schedule for the week(s). When possible, alternative scheduling for short-term needs will be discussed in advance.
