Annual Levy Sample Clauses

Annual Levy. Regulations The annual laying of levy regulations will be managed by the Sharet\older Team and BEIS lawyers. This includes drafting the levy regulations, seeking cross govemment agreement and securing Ministerial approval to lay the regulations. The Oil and Gas Authority (Levy) Regulations constitute a negative instrument and therefore must lie in parliament for 21 days without being prayed against before they can come into force. They must come into force each year on 1 April in order to align with the financial year. In the event that the OGA wishes to_ use the same methodology for the levy as used for the previous year's regulations then they must submit indicative levy rates to the Shareholder Team by 30 November in order for the government write--round to be issued ahead of the regulations being finalised. The final exact levy rates must be submitted to the Shareholder Team no later than 31 December. In the event that the OGA wishes to change the methodg oloy for the levy from that used for the previous year's regulations then they must submit fully finalised policy instructions to the Shareholder Team by 1 January. The instructions must have the prior approval of HM Treasury and have been subject to consultation with the oil and gas industry.
