Common use of Appointment Notice Clause in Contracts

Appointment Notice. ‌ Prior to the start of a part-time hourly appointment, the part-time hourly appointee must be notified in writing of the conditions of the appointment. The written notification must contain the following information regarding the appointment: A. The reason for the part-time hourly appointment; B. The hours of work and the hourly rate of pay; C. The anticipated duration of the appointment; D. A statement regarding the receipt or non-receipt of benefits; E. The employee’s original date of hire in a part-time hourly appointment; F. A description of when they may become a represented individual, included in the bargaining unit and covered by this Agreement; G. A statement of the Union’s exclusive recognition and union security provision; and H. The right to request remedial action as provided in Section 5.8, below.
