ARTICLE N – VIOLENCE IN THE WORKPLACE. N.1 (a) Violence shall be defined as any incident in which a nurse is abused, threatened or assaulted during the course of his/her employment. It includes the application of force, threats with or without weapons and severe verbal abuse. The Hospital agrees that such incidents will not be condoned. Any nurse who believes he/she has been subjected to such incident shall report this to a supervisor who will make every reasonable effort to rectify the situation.

ARTICLE N – VIOLENCE IN THE WORKPLACE. N.1 (a) Definition of Violence Violence is any actual, attempted or threatened conduct of a person that causes or is likely to cause physical and/or psychological trauma/ harm/injury/illness. The Employer agrees that such incidents will not be condoned. Any employee who knows of violence or potential violence shall report this to a supervisor who will make every reasonable effort to rectify the situation.
ARTICLE N – VIOLENCE IN THE WORKPLACE. N.1 1. The Hospital and the Association recognize that any form of verbal, physical, sexual, racial or other abuse is not acceptable. Any employee who believes a situation to be abusive shall complete an Employee Incident Report. Any employee who believes the situation to be abusive shall report this to the immediate supervisor who will make every effort to correct the abusive situation.
ARTICLE N – VIOLENCE IN THE WORKPLACE. N-1 (a) Definition of Violence The Hospital and the Union do not condone violence, as defined by the Hospital policy on violence and aggressive behaviour. The Employer agrees that no form of verbal, physical, sexual, racial or other abuse which may cause physical or psychological injury or that gives a person reason to believe that s/he or another person is at risk of physical and or psychological injury will be condoned in the workplace. Any employee who believes the situation to be abusive shall report this to the immediate supervisor who will take every precaution reasonable to rectify the abusive situation.

  • Violence in the Workplace (a) The parties agree that violence shall be defined as any incident in which an employee is abused, threatened or assaulted while performing his or her work. The parties agree it includes the application of force, threats with or without weapons and severe verbal abuse. The parties agree that such incidents will not be condoned. Any employee who believes he/she has been subjected to such incident shall report this to a supervisor who will make every reasonable effort to rectify the situation. For purposes of sub-article (a) only, employees as referred to herein shall mean all employees of the Employer notwithstanding Article 2.12.

  • Harassment in the Workplace The Union and the Employer recognize the right of employees to work in an environment free from personal and sexual harassment ("Harassment"), and the Employer shall take such actions as are necessary respecting an employee engaging in harassment in the workplace.

  • Workplace Violence (a) It is recognized that at certain worksites or in certain work situations employees may be at risk of physical violence or verbal abuse from clients, persons in care or custody, or the public.

  • Workplace Violence Prevention A. In order to provide a safe and healthy workplace for employees, the State agrees to develop and implement "Workplace Violence Prevention" policies and programs.

  • Access to the Workplace Union health and safety staff or Union consultants shall be provided access to the workplace and to attend meetings of the committee or Union committee or for inspecting, investigating or monitoring the workplace.

  • Convicted, Discriminatory, Antitrust Violator, and Suspended Vendor Lists In accordance with sections 287.133, 287.134, and 287.137, F.S., the Contractor is hereby informed of the provisions of sections 287.133(2)(a), 287.134(2)(a), and 287.137(2)(a), F.S. For purposes of this Contract, a person or affiliate who is on the Convicted Vendor List, the Discriminatory Vendor List, or the Antitrust Violator Vendor List may not perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under the Contract. The Contractor must notify the Department if it or any of its suppliers, subcontractors, or consultants have been placed on the Convicted Vendor List, the Discriminatory Vendor List, or the Antitrust Violator Vendor List during the term of the Contract. In accordance with section 287.1351, F.S., a vendor placed on the Suspended Vendor List may not enter into or renew a contract to provide any goods or services to an agency after its placement on the Suspended Vendor List. A firm or individual placed on the Suspended Vendor List pursuant to section 287.1351, F.S., the Convicted Vendor List pursuant to section 287.133, F.S., the Antitrust Violator Vendor List pursuant to section 287.137, F.S., or the Discriminatory Vendor List pursuant to section 287.134, F.S., is immediately disqualified from Contract eligibility.

  • Workplace Violence Prevention and Crisis Response (applicable to any Party and any subcontractors and sub-grantees whose employees or other service providers deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services): Party shall establish a written workplace violence prevention and crisis response policy meeting the requirements of Act 109 (2016), 33 VSA §8201(b), for the benefit of employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party shall, in preparing its policy, consult with the guidelines promulgated by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for Preventing Workplace Violence for Healthcare and Social Services Workers, as those guidelines may from time to time be amended. Party, through its violence protection and crisis response committee, shall evaluate the efficacy of its policy, and update the policy as appropriate, at least annually. The policy and any written evaluations thereof shall be provided to employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party will ensure that any subcontractor and sub-grantee who hires employees (or contracts with service providers) who deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services, complies with all requirements of this Section.

  • CONSTRUCTION OF THE BUS TERMINAL 12.1 Obligations prior to commencement of construction Prior to commencement of Construction Works, the Concessionaire shall:

  • Smoke Free Environment The Lessor shall make all parts of the leased premise smoke-free. "
