An assault and battery leave is a A type of industrial accident leave which is granted to employees covered by this agreement because of an absence due to an injury resulting from caused by an assault and/or battery that was incurred while on dutysuffered by a Unit member in the course and scope of his/her employment. The determination as to whether the absence is considered an assault and/or battery leave shall be the responsibility of the Human Resources Division.
