Assignment To Outlying Location Sample Clauses
The "Assignment To Outlying Location" clause defines the conditions under which an employee may be required to work at a location that is distant from their usual place of employment. Typically, this clause outlines the process for notifying employees of such assignments, any additional compensation or allowances provided for travel or relocation, and the duration or limits of such assignments. Its core practical function is to ensure both the employer and employee understand the expectations and arrangements when work duties necessitate temporary or permanent relocation, thereby minimizing disputes and clarifying logistical responsibilities.
Assignment To Outlying Location. An employee who is assigned to a work location outside the City limits, whose initial offer of employment did not include such assignment, shall be reimbursed mileage for the distance from the City office to the outlying work location, or the employee’s residence to the outlying location, whichever is less.
