Assistance to Small Farm Enterprises. The primary focus of this activity is to transform on-farm productive practices of poor farmers by effecting a shift to high-value crops, forestry, and animal products. This objective will be pursued through two related mechanisms: the delivery of on-farm technical assistance by contracted extension services and the provision of material assistance. The outreach plans must be approved by MCC and must incorporate gender analysis. Technical assistance to farmers will likely include training in production management, application of best practices in agriculture (such as complying with sanitary and phytosanitary standards) and forestry (such as forest certification and reduced impact logging), post-harvest management, and market access information. In-kind assistance will include the provision of new crop material and, possibly, livestock, with a significant cost- share by all participants. One potential activity will be the development of forestry through investments in trees as on-farm productive assets for small and medium-sized farms. This activity has additional benefits of soil conservation, strengthening natural resource management and providing potential opportunities for carbon credits. As with other assistance to farmers, this provision of in-kind assistance will be delivered with a significant cost-share by participants in the program. All technical assistance will be in compliance with Salvadoran laws and regulations and the Environmental Guidelines and will encourage farm enterprises to employ environmentally sustainable practices and will disseminate environmental sustainability principles that include guidance on the proper selection, use, storage, and disposal of pesticides. The PRONORTE Service Provider will ensure proper practices to minimize and mitigate the potential negative impacts of any significant land conversion. Any land acquisition and involuntary resettlement involved with this activity will be done in compliance with the World Bank’s Operational Policy on Involuntary Resettlement (OP 4.12).

  • Information Technology Enterprise Architecture Requirements If this Contract involves information technology-related products or services, the Contractor agrees that all such products or services are compatible with any of the technology standards found at xxxxx://xxx.xx.xxx/iot/2394.htm that are applicable, including the assistive technology standard. The State may terminate this Contract for default if the terms of this paragraph are breached.

  • Small and medium-sized enterprises 1. The Parties will promote a favourable environment for the development of the small and medium enterprises (SME) on the basis of strengthening of the relevant private and governmental bodies, as well as the exchange of experiences and good practices with the SME. 2. Cooperation shall include, among other subjects: (a) the designing and development of mechanisms to encourage partnership and productive chain linkage development; (b) development of human resources and management skills to increase the knowledge of the Chinese and Peruvian markets; (c) defining and developing methods and strategies for clusters development; (d) increasing access to information regarding mandatory procedures and any other relevant information for an SME exporter; (e) defining technological transference: programs oriented to transfer technological innovation to SME and to improve their productivity; (f) increasing access to information on technological promotion programs for SME and financial support and encouragement programs for SME; (g) supporting new exporting SME (sponsorship, credits and guarantees, seed capital); and (h) encouraging partnership and information exchange for SME financing institutions (credits, banks, guarantee organizations, seed capital firms). 3. Cooperation shall be developed, among other activities, through: (a) information exchange; (b) conferences, seminars, experts dialogue and training programs with experts; and (c) promoting contacts between economic operators, encouraging opportunities for industrial and technical prospecting.

  • Indiana Veteran Owned Small Business Enterprise Compliance Award of this Contract was based, in part, on the Indiana Veteran Owned Small Business Enterprise (“IVOSB”) participation plan, as detailed in the IVOSB Subcontractor Commitment Form, commonly referred to as “Attachment A-1” in the procurement documentation and incorporated by reference herein. Therefore, any changes to this information during the Contract term must be approved by IDOA’s IVOSB Division (“IVOSB Division”) and may require an amendment.   • Anti-Doping I understand and agree that the UCI Anti-Doping Rules and U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) Protocol apply to me. I agree to submit to drug testing. If it is determined I may have committed an anti-doping rule violation, I agree to submit to the results management authority and processes of USADA or the results management authority of the UCI and my national federation. I agree that arbitration is my exclusive remedy under the above rules.

  • Accreditation of Public Schools and Adoption and Implementation of School Plans The District will implement a system of accrediting all of its schools, as described in section 22-11- 307, C.R.S., which may include measures specifically for those schools that have been designated as Alternative Education Campuses, in accordance with the provisions of 1 CCR 301-57.
