Assistant Research. Professor shall have demonstrated research ability and potential for contributing to the research, scholarly or creative mission of the institution. Appointees should be qualified and competent to direct the work of others (such as technicians, graduate students, other research personnel). An earned doctoral degree will be a requirement for appointment at this rank. Appointment to this non-tenure-track faculty rank is dependent on extramural funding that supports the salary and fringe benefits of the individual and excellence in performance.
