Professional Development and Training. The Company shall pay for or reimburse the Executive for any reasonable professional development or training.
Professional Development and Training. 4.1 The purpose of professional development and training requirements for Language Access Providers (LAPs) is to maintain the skill levels possessed at the time of passing the interpreter certification examination, and to further enhance skills and knowledge. Both the State and the Union encourage LAPs to complete training and continuing education activities.
4.2 The State or its Coordinating Entities will:
A. Post a reference link to the National Standards on Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) on the Coordinating Entities’ websites.
B. Post a reference link to the DSHS Language Interpreter and Translator Code of Professional Conduct on the Coordinating Entities’ websites.
C. Post a reference link to the Union (Local 1671) website on the DSHS Language Testing and Certification (LTC) website.
D. Annually distribute an electronic copy of the “DSHS Language Interpreter and Translator Code of Professional Conduct” to Medicaid medical providers.
E. On a quarterly basis, make available to all authorized requestors an electronic tutorial guide on completion of work order forms.
Professional Development and Training develop and/or deliver training programs and/or materials for designated audience including but not limited to general education teachers, special education providers, administrators, and/or parents. Client recognizes that all trainings and related materials constitute property of TES and shall not be duplicated without written consent of TES.
Professional Development and Training. The employer may grant employees study leave to enable them to attend courses, seminars, and conferences; and to undertake projects which facilitate their professional development, and which are relevant to the employer. Appendix 6 ON CALL AND CALL BACK
Professional Development and Training. Xxxxxxx State University recognizes that training and development programs improve individual and organizational performance and assists the University in achieving its overall institutional goals. The employees’ supervisor will provide basic orientation and explain the operations and processes required by the position. Certain positions at the University offer opportunities to acquire advanced skills, information, and experience that may qualify an employee for career progression. Professional development is part of all employees' performance expectations, supervisors should assess and plan for training programs determined to be mutually beneficial for employees and the University.
Professional Development and Training. The Parties acknowledge the important skills and expertise that education support workers contribute to Ontario’s publicly funded schools and their commitment to improving student achievement. The Parties agree that: Valuable professional development and training is informed by research and done in partnership with colleagues; Members of the Bargaining Unit shall participate in Board-directed professional development and training. The Ottawa Catholic School Board and CUPE 2357 have jointly agreed to a philosophy which encourages professional development for all members. CUPE 2357 is recognized as an equal participant in the Supports Staff Professional Development Committee with proportional representation. Professional Development opportunities shall be provided in accordance with the recommendations of the Support Staff Professional Development Committee.
Professional Development and Training. The Employer will make available twelve hours of work-related external training for each employee. In addition, the employer will be responsible for registration costs associated with the twelve hours of work- related external training. The employer will solicit input from each individual employee regarding the nature and level of work-related training being sought. Input will also be sought from the Union. Training must be work-related in order for it to be considered for approval by the Employer. All unused hours of training will expire annually on April 1. The hours available for voluntarily requested work-related training exclude mandatory training and will not carry over beyond April 1 of each year. Disputed issues regarding the application of this Article will be considered by the Labor Management Committee only after a deputy director has reviewed the issue and been unable to resolve the disputed issue.
Professional Development and Training. 4.1 The purpose of professional development and training requirements for interpreters is to maintain the skill levels interpreters possess at the time they pass their interpreter certification examination, and to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Both the State and the Union encourage interpreters to complete training and continuing education activities.
4.2 The parties agree to establish an a professional development and training committee (PDTC) under the provisions of Article 8, Union-Management Committees within six (6) months of the effective date of this Agreement.
Professional Development and Training. Effective staff development is necessary in providing continuing opportunities for employees. To that end the District may, from time to time, authorize employee development activities such as classroom observation or visitation, employee workshops and educational meetings. Release time with substitute provided will be made available upon prior approval of the superintendent to any employee who wishes to observe another classroom or attend a meeting, workshop, or conference. Where additional staff development opportunities are available, the administration may grant additional time at its discretion, to a staff member. The employee(s) will present a brief report at the next staff meeting.
Professional Development and Training. A. The Board and the Support Staff Federation recognize the need for training and development of support staff employees in order that services are efficiently and effectively provided. The Board and the Union recognize the desirability of providing opportunities for employees to develop their skills and abilities for reasons of career advancement. In recognition of such principle, the Board shall endeavor to provide support staff employees with the reasonable orientation and training required to fulfill the responsibilities of their job.
B. The Board will budget $25,000 per fiscal year for professional development and training or for junior, senior, or graduate courses at a four-year college or university. Employees will be eligible for up to six (6) semester hours. Before registering for training or classes, the employee will submit the Non- PSC Tuition Reimbursement Form (Appendix D) to the Office of Human Resources.
C. Approved training or courses must be in one or more of the following categories and approved by the supervisor:
1) Programs which contribute to professional development;
2) Programs which provide job-related information;
3) Programs which develop job-related skills;
4) Courses in an accredited degree program. Employees who meet the above qualifications will be eligible for reimbursement on a first-come, first-served basis. Credit courses will be reimbursed after submitting proof of a satisfactory grade of C or above.
D. Employees may be reimbursed up to a maximum of $1,800 for either tuition reimbursement or professional development training courses per fiscal year.
