ATTENDANCE CREDITS AND SICK LEAVE. Employees who work thirty-six and one-quarter (36¼) or forty (40) hours per week shall earn attendance credits of one and one-quarter (1¼) days for each calendar month of full attendance or for each calendar month of leave of absence granted under Article 31A.9 (Pregnancy and Parental Leave). Attendance credits may be used for protection purposes only in the event that an employee is unable to attend to his or her official duties by reason of illness or injury. However, accumulated attendance credits earned prior to April 1, 1978 may be transferred to the Classified Service when the appointment to the Classified Service is made from continuous, unbroken, full-time Unclassified Service.
