BAK. The Federal Chamber of German Architects (BAK) in Berlin is the umbrella organisation of the Xxxxxxxx of Architects of the 16 German States (Länder) – bodies of public law. XXX represents nationally and internationally the interests of more than 138,000 architects (as of January 1st, 2022). Among them a majority of 84 per cent works as construction architects, 6 per cent work as landscape architects, 5 per cent are registered as interior designers and 5 per cent as urban planners. The designations “architect”, “interior architect”, “garden and landscape architect” and “urban planner” are protected by the rules and regulations of the Architects Xxxxxxxx of the Länder. Only those who are registered in the relevant Architects' Chamber are allowed to be entitled. Main topics and tasks of the BAK: − To strengthen the consciousness of architectural culture and the built environment − Consumer protection − To maintain and improve the economic and legal conditions of professional education − To promote the cooperation and regular exchange of experience with the Architects Xxxxxxxx of the Länder Agreement The cooperation aims to combine forces to achieve common political goals and the professional promotion of architectural culture in both countries and specifically refers to the following areas: − Students and professional cultural exchange − Information exchange, experience sharing, exchange of views − Continuing education and training − Law, contracts and fee system − Architecture competitions − Project cooperation Therefore, the parties agree, with regard to the areas mentioned above, to make efforts to adopt simplified and less bureaucratic mechanisms, respecting the following principles: − Students and professionals exchange/ internationalization of the profession
BAK. Company shall directly pay XxXxxx'x attorneys, Behr Xxxxxxxx & Xxxxxx. LLP ("BAK"), or their designee, five percent (5%) of the Net Profits (as defined below). This five percent (5%) amount shall not be deducted from payments due to DDV.
