Ballot Preparation. Upon certification from the DEO pursuant to Section 3.4, the CEO shall layout the text of the ballot in a format that complies with the Code and the Rules. CEO shall provide ballot printing layouts and text for proofreading and for signature approval of the Jurisdiction. CEO shall certify the ballot content to the printer.
Ballot Preparation. 1. Determine whether a ballot race, ballot question, or ballot issue is properly placed before the voters.
Ballot Preparation. The Town shall furnish the Contracting Officer a list of candidates and/or propositions showing the order and the exact manner in which their names and/or proposition(s) are to appear on the official ballot (including bilingual titles and text). This list shall be delivered to the Contracting Officer as soon as possible after ballot positions have been determined. The Town shall perform the duties required for drawing for place on the ballot by candidates. The ballot content must be certified exactly in the order in which it is to be printed on the ballot pages and sample ballots in the following format:

Ballot issue(s) are defined as state or local matters arising under Section 20 of Article X of the state constitution relating to ▇▇▇▇▇ issues. c. Communicate with the Political Subdivision if obvious errors and discrepancies are found in the ballot certification. 5. Provide ballot printing layouts and text for Political Subdivision’s review and signature. If Political Subdivision fails to provide approval by the required deadline, the content is to be considered approved. 6. Certify the ballot content to the printer(s). 7. Contract for ballots.

No later than 3:00 p.m. on September 4, 2020, the Jurisdiction shall electronically submit its ballot certification to the County Clerk via text document (preferably Microsoft Word – no PDF). If the Jurisdiction fails to submit the ballot certification by the above deadline, the ballot certification may not be accepted by the County Clerk. 1) The Jurisdiction’s ballot certification shall include all of the races, candidates and contests that will be presented to the Jurisdiction’s voters in the Election, including the text of all Ballot Measures, in the exact order that they need to appear on the ballot. 2) The ballot certification shall not be embedded in an email and shall not contain any extraordinary (unique) formatting. Examples of extraordinary (unique) formatting not permitted in the ballot certification include, but are not limited to: (a) text boxes; (b) charts; (c) spreadsheets; (d) strikeouts; (e) ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇; and
