Basic Benefit. Effective January 1, 2008, the basic life insurance benefit will be increased from $15,000 to $18,000 for employees. This shall be the default level The basic life benefit will include a dependent life benefit of life insurance coverage, which shall be provided at no cost $2,000 (benefit reduction may apply prior to 6 months of age automatically for of the employee’s dependent spouse/qualified dependent children. No enrollment is generally required except that Domestic Partners and/or their dependents must be enrolled in the program as the dependent of an employee in order to be eligible for the dependent benefit.
