Common use of Basic Duties Clause in Contracts

Basic Duties. 1. The applicable rates for imports between the Parties, to which the successive reductions set out in this Agreement are to be applied, shall be the WTO bound rate or the applied rate enforced as of the entry into force of this Agreement if it is lower. If, after the entry into force of this Agreement, a tariff reduction is applied on an erga omnes basis, the reduced rate shall apply. 2. The Parties shall communicate to each other their respective rates applied on the date of the entry into force of this Agreement.
