Basic Work Weeks. The basic work week for full-time employees shall be forty (40) hours, consisting of five (5) eight (8) hour days. In a week in which one (1) statutory holiday occurs, the basic work week for full-time employees shall be reduced to thirty-two (32) hours, consisting of four (4) eight (8) hour days, including work on the statutory holiday, and in a week in which two (2) statutory holidays occur, the basic work week for full- time employees shall be reduced to twenty-four (24) hours, consisting of three (3) eight (8) hour days, including work on the statutory holiday. For purposes of the Collective Agreement Sunday is considered the first day of the basic work week. The basic work week described in this Article shall include time off due to jury duty, witness duty and funeral leave as set out in Articles 6.06 and 6.09 provided the employee has actual hours worked in the week.
