Bereavement/ Hospital Leave. 1. In case of the death of spouse or (step) child of a regular full time employee or SUCCESS employee, or the employee’s, SUCCESS employee’s or sign language interpreters, or spouse’s (step) father, (step) mother, (step) brother, (step) sister, legal dependent, grandparent or (step) grandchildren the employee shall be granted permission to be absent from duty for as many days, not to exceed five, during the individual employee’s, SUCCESS employee’s or sign language interpreter’s service year as may be necessary for attendance at the funeral and for any other purposes directly arising out of said death, and no deduction of pay shall be made for the days of absence so granted.
