BEREAVEMENT PAY AND JURY DUTY. 17.01 An employee who has attained seniority will be granted up to five (5) consecutive work days with pay for time lost from work for the purpose of making arrangements and attending the funeral in the event of the death of their spouse, parent, child, Common-law spouse, children, grandchildren, brother and sister. An employee who has attained seniority will be granted up to three (3) consecutive work days with pay for time lost from work for the purpose of making arrangements and attending the funeral in the event of the death of their mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in- law, sister-in-law, niece and nephew. Such possible day’s leave of absence shall be between the day of death and the day of the funeral inclusive. An employee who has attained seniority will be granted up to two (2) days consecutive work days with pay for time lost from work for the purpose of making arrangements and attending the funeral in event of the death of their grandparent and one day for any aunt or uncle. In any event, the employee shall not be entitled to receive any pay hereunder as to any day upon which they would not otherwise have been scheduled to work for the Company. 17.02 For the purpose of calculating the compensation to which an employee is entitled under this Article, it shall be deemed that he time lost from work for an employee shall be nine (9) hours per day. 17.03 An employee who has attained seniority will be granted leave of absence with pay for time lost from work for the purpose of attending a call for Jury Duty. An employee will be entitled to paid leave under this section where the employee is subpoenaed to appear in court for an accident or incident witnessed on duty. An employee who has attained seniority will be granted up to two (2) days consecutive work days with pay for time lost from work for the purpose of making arrangements and attending the funeral in event of the death of their grandparent and one day for any aunt or uncleservice attendance. In any event, the employee shall not be entitled to receive any pay hereunder as to any day upon which they he would not otherwise have been scheduled to work for the Company.
17.02 . For the purpose of calculating the compensation to which an employee is entitled under this Article, it shall be deemed that he the time lost from work for an employee shall be nine (9) hours per day.
17.03 17.02 An employee who has attained seniority will be granted leave of absence from work with pay for time lost from based on a 9 hour work for the purpose of attending a call for Jury Dutyday less any amount received as jury duty/Crown witness in connection with court proceedings in relation to his job on his normal working day. An employee so selected in accordance with this article will be entitled required to paid leave under this section where provide proof satisfactory to the employee is subpoenaed employer of his witness or jury appointment in order to appear in court for an accident or incident witnessed on duty.
