Common use of Briefing Clause in Contracts

Briefing. If a briefing is requested, the briefing will be requested with the demand to bargain and scheduled to occur within five workdays after the Agency receives the Union’s demand to bargain/request for briefing (whichever comes first), unless the Agency’s subject matter experts (SMEs) are not available within the five workdays. In cases where the Agency cannot provide the Union with a briefing within five workdays, the Agency will schedule the briefing as early as practicable.
