The candidate must establish that he or she has engaged in consistently and effective involvement, at a level significantly above the minimum, in University governance, non-remunerative professionally-related service to the community or professional/scholarly organizations over an extended period. This should include active and continuing service in positions of institutional leadership. Such positions might, for example, include (but are not limited to) membership on the CAPT, contract negotiations, President of the Union, Chair of a Department, or Chair of a major committee. Service to the profession or the community should include active and continuing service in leadership positions in professional or community organizations.
