The cost of a single unit or piece of equipment includes necessary accessories, installation costs, freight and other applicable expenses associated with the purchase of the equipment. Only budgeted equipment items costing $5,000 or more may be reported under this category. Small equipment items costing less than $5,000 are properly classified as Supplies and Materials or Other Expenses. This category also includes capital outlay for purchase or renovation of facilities.
