Carrying Laptops. A protective case must be provided for the laptop, having sufficient padding to protect the laptop from normal treatment and provide a suitable means for carrying the computer. The guidelines below should be followed along with common sense:  Laptops should always be within a protective case when carried, including between classes.  Some carrying cases can hold other objects (such as folder and workbooks), but these must be kept to a minimum to avoid placing too much pressure and weight on the laptop screen.  The laptop must be turned off before placing it in the carrying case.  Do not store the laptops with the power cord or external devices still attached. This will damage the ports.  Bags containing the laptop should never be “thrown” or “tossed”. A bag will be provided for any student unable to provide their own.
