Casual Nurses. Paid Holiday Entitlement A casual nurse shall be entitled to a paid holiday as outlined in this Agreement and shall receive a regular days pay of seven (7) hours pay as paid holiday pay if (s)he: (a) Earns wages on at least twelve (12) days of one-half day or more in the four (4) weeks preceding a paid holiday; and, (b) Works her/his scheduled hours on her/his last scheduled day preceding the holiday; and, (c) Works her/his scheduled hours on her/his first scheduled day following the holiday, unless excused by the employer and/or is absent for legitimate reasons; and, (d) Reports to work on the holiday, as agreed and scheduled. In the event that a casual nurse has not earned wages on at least twelve(12) days in the four (4) weeks preceding a paid holiday, the default entitlement shall be in accordance with the Employment Standards Act (2000).
