Catastrophic Illness Leave Donation Program. a. The Catastrophic Leave Donation Program is voluntary. b. On a case-by-case basis a unit member may donate up to five (5) days of accumulated sick leave under the circumstances stated in the following paragraphs to another bargaining unit member who has suffered a long- term, non-industrial catastrophic illness or injury, or who is required to take time off work to provide care for a member of his or her immediate family who suffers from a catastrophic illness or injury, and who has completely exhausted all available paid leaves, including regular and extended sick leave.
