Common use of Certification Premium Clause in Contracts

Certification Premium. Nurses certified in a specialty area by a national organization and working in that area of certification shall be paid a premium of one dollar ($1) per hour, provided the particular certification has been approved by the Chief Operating Officer, or designee, and further provided that the nurse continues to meet all educational and other requirements to keep the certification current and in good standing. If a nurse is involuntarily transferred to a position in which the nurse is not working in the area of certification, the nurse will continue to receive this premium until the nurse's certification expires.

Certification Premium. Nurses who are certified in a nationally recognized specialty area by a national organization and working in that area of certification which the Employer provides such services in the Hospital shall be paid a premium of one dollar ($11.00) per hour, provided hour for the particular first certification has been approved by the Chief Operating Officer, or designee, and further provided that the nurse continues fifty cents ($0.50) for all additional certifications for all paid hours. Nurses receiving a certification premium are not eligible to meet all educational and other requirements to keep the certification current and in good standing. If receive a nurse is involuntarily transferred to a position in which the nurse is not working specialty premium in the area of certification, the nurse will continue to receive this premium until the nurse's certification expiressame specialty area.

If a nurse is involuntarily transferred to a position in which the nurse is not working in the area of certification, the nurse will continue to receive this premium until the nurse's certification expires.
