Common use of Cessation of Deduction Clause in Contracts

Cessation of Deduction. The Employer shall be relieved from making such individual dues “check-off” deductions upon an employee’s: (1) termination of employment; (2) transfer to a job other than one (1) covered by the bargaining unit; (3) layoff from work; (4) unpaid leave of absence; (5) revocation of the check-off authorization; or (6) resignation by the employee from the Union.

Cessation of Deduction.
