Common use of Children/Grandchildren Clause in Contracts

Children/Grandchildren. An ASF Member may purchase life insurance in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) as a package for all eligible children/grandchildren (as defined in Section B(3)(b) of this Article). An individual may only be covered on one policy, by one employee participating in the State Employee Group Insurance Program. For a new ASF Member, child/grandchild coverage requires evidence of insurability if application is made after the initial effective date of coverage as defined in this Article, Section E3. An ASF Member who becomes eligible for insurance may purchase child/grandchild coverage without evidence of insurability if application is made within thirty (30) days of the initial effective date as defined in this Article. Child/grandchild coverage commences immediately from the moment of live birth up to age twenty- six (26).
