Common use of Collaboration with Academic Departments and Disciplines Clause in Contracts

Collaboration with Academic Departments and Disciplines. The Distance Learning department collaborates with the instructional administrators and faculty to determine demand for developing distance learning courses. Once courses have been selected for distance learning development, the appropriate department chair, representative, or designee are notified. In order to assure that the department and discipline faculty have input into the course development process, the following will occur:  The designated administrator and the faculty department chair, representative, or designee will be notified when the course is complete and ready to be submitted to the OIC.  Faculty members serving on RTT development teams will be expected to communicate with discipline faculty on an ongoing basis during the course development process to assure that the course is being designed in compliance with all departmental requirements.

In order to assure that the department and discipline faculty have input into the course development process, the following will occur:  The designated administrator and the faculty department chair, representative, or designee will be given access to an RTT course during the development stage or a course undergoing a major revision and will be notified when the course is complete and ready to be submitted to the OIC.  Faculty members serving on RTT development teams will be expected to communicate with discipline faculty on an ongoing basis during the course development process to assure that the course is being designed in compliance with all departmental requirements.
