Compensation for Long-Term Class Coverage Sample Clauses

Compensation for Long-Term Class Coverage. The Board may offer, and a fully-licensed teacher may choose to accept, a role as a long-term substitute at their own or another IPS building to cover long-term vacancies during periods in which the teacher is not performing or scheduled to perform classroom instruction. Such assignment will continue until the end of the semester or until the vacancy is filled, whichever is sooner. A teacher who accepts the long-term assignment will be paid at their standard hourly rate [annual salary ÷ 192 ÷ 7] while fulfilling this assignment. The Board will prioritize offering long-term substitute roles to teachers whose schedule, licensure, endorsements, and similar considerations align with the needs of the vacant position.
