Composition of the jury. The jury shall be composed by at least 3 members, all internationally recognized scholars in the field of the thesis, including at least one from each degree awarding universities, and at least one external examiner. The doctoral studies panel will ensure that the composition of the jury complies with the local university regulations.

Composition of the jury. The panel for the defence of the thesis shall be jointly designated by the two Parties, at least three months before the defence of the thesis. The membership of the panel shall consist of between 5 and 8 members, half of whom shall be French or foreigners, external to the Doctoral colleges and the two partner institutions. At least, half of the members of the jury will have to be full Professors or Faculty of the same cadre still in active service. The panel’s composition shall have equal number of women and men. The Supervisors shall be present at the examination but shall not take part in the panel’s decisions. They shall not be chosen as assessors nor can they be Chairman of the panel. The Chairman shall be a full Professor or a faculty of the same cadre and still in active service. The two contracting institutions shall examine the composition of the panel together in order to ensure that it conforms with the signed agreement, and each institution’s rules and regulations, and is in the Doctoral candidate’s interest.

  • Controlling Law; Venue The parties agree that California law will govern any dispute related to this Contract, and any litigation arising out of the Contract shall be conducted in courts located in Ventura County, California.

  • Consent to Jurisdiction and Venue All judicial proceedings (to the extent that the reference requirement of Section 11.10 is not applicable) arising in or under or related to this Agreement or any of the other Loan Documents may be brought in any state or federal court located in the State of California. By execution and delivery of this Agreement, each party hereto generally and unconditionally: (a) consents to nonexclusive personal jurisdiction in Santa Xxxxx County, State of California; (b) waives any objection as to jurisdiction or venue in Santa Xxxxx County, State of California; (c) agrees not to assert any defense based on lack of jurisdiction or venue in the aforesaid courts; and (d) irrevocably agrees to be bound by any judgment rendered thereby in connection with this Agreement or the other Loan Documents. Service of process on any party hereto in any action arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be effective if given in accordance with the requirements for notice set forth in Section 11.2, and shall be deemed effective and received as set forth in Section 11.2. Nothing herein shall affect the right to serve process in any other manner permitted by law or shall limit the right of either party to bring proceedings in the courts of any other jurisdiction.

  • Effective July 1, 2005, the District’s share of the JROTC Instructor annual salary shall be increased by $4,000.00. The new total District portion above the minimum shall be $6,200.00.

  • Enforcement and Venue This Contract shall be enforceable in Georgetown, Xxxxxxxxxx County, Texas, and if legal action is necessary by either party with respect to the enforcement of any or all of the terms or conditions herein, exclusive venue for same shall lie in Xxxxxxxxxx County, Texas. This Contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws and court decisions of the State of Texas excluding, however, its choice of law rules.

  • Waiver of Trial by Jury Each party hereby irrevocably and unconditionally waives the right to a trial by jury in any action, suit, counterclaim or other proceeding (whether based on contract, tort or otherwise) arising out of, connected with or relating to this Agreement, the transactions contemplated hereby, or the actions of the Investor in the negotiation, administration, performance or enforcement hereof.
