Comprehensive Major Medical Coverage. The District will provide comprehensive major medical coverage in accordance with the Joint Powers Agreement program.
Comprehensive Major Medical Coverage. 1. Each employee may select Plan A or Plan C for each plan year. An employee may change plans during the annual open enrollment period, but may not switch to the other plan during a plan year even if the employee experiences a qualifying life event. The employee will pay 6% effective July 1, 2023, 7% effective July 1, 2024, and 8% effective July 1, 2025. For employees choosing Plan C, the Board will fund a Health Savings Account with an annual contribution of $1300/family and $650/single.
2. The coverage shall be as indicated in the Summary of Insurance Specifications as attached to this Agreement (See Appendix E).

Benefits provided by insurance are based solely upon the coverages agreed upon during negotiations. The District may explore and use other means of maintaining such benefits, and the Union agrees to participate, upon request, in committee study of cost containment measures.
