Common use of CONFORMITY TO LAW CLAUSE Clause in Contracts

CONFORMITY TO LAW CLAUSE. This Agreement is subject in all respects to the laws of the State of Michigan with respect to the powers, rights, duties, and obligations of the Board, the Union, and teachers in the Bargaining Unit. In event that any provision of this Agreement shall at any time be held to be contrary to law by a court of competent jurisdiction from whose final judgment or decree no appeal has been taken within the time for doing so, or if any provision of this Agreement shall at any time be changed or voided by legislation, such provision(s) shall be void and inoperative. However, at the option of either party to the contract, the specific provision, thus voided, and that provision only, shall be immediately subject to negotiations. All other provisions of this Agreement shall continue in effect.

All other provisions of this Agreement shall continue in effect. This clause is inserted into this document pursuant to 2011 PA 9.
