Adoption of Resolution Authorizing a Supplemental Appropriation from Unassigned Fund Balance for Necessary Expenditures related to Middle School Construction of up to Six Hundred Fifty Thousand ($650,000.00) Dollars Assistant Mayor Splaine moved to adopt a Resolution authorizing a supplemental appropriation from Unassigned Fund Balance the sum of up to Six Hundred Fifty Thousand ($650,000.00) Dollars for Necessary Expenditures Related to the Middle School Construction, as presented. Seconded by Councilor Xxxx. Deputy City Attorney Xxxxxxxx reported over the last two years the 1930 structure of the building has experienced settlement which is beyond what is acceptable. She said that we are providing another level of shoring and we want it to have a long term benefit. City Council Meeting March 14, 2016 (Recessed from March 7, 2016) Councilor Xxxxx said we need to go out to bid while the kids are out of school. She said it is the intent to pay the funds back from the settlement the City receives. On a unanimous roll call vote 8-0, motion passed.

First reading of Proposed Resolution Amending Elderly Exemption OPTION A Proposed increase of Elderly Exemption Single $40,000.00 increase of $3,689.00 Married $55,000.00 increase of $10,207.00 Asset Limit of $175,000.00 increase of 53,961.00 (Sample motion – move to authorize the City Manager to proceed with the proposed increases to income and asset limits only for the elderly exemption, and further, pass first reading and hold public hearing and adoption at the February 16, 2016 City Council meeting, as presented) (This requires two readings and a public hearing) OPTION B Proposed increase of Elderly Exemption Single $40,000.00 increase of $3,689.00 Married $55,000.00 increase of $10,207.00 Asset Limit of $175,000.00 increase of $53,961.00 If the City Council wishes to adjust the exemption amounts for elderly taxpayers in comparison to neighboring communities, this would decrease the limit as follows: Ages 65-74 $120,000.00 decrease of $5,000.00 Ages 75-79 $160,000.00 decrease of $15,000.00 Ages 80+ $200,000.00 decrease of $20,000.00 (Sample motion – move to authorize the City Manager to proceed with the proposed increases to income, asset and exemption limits only for the elderly exemption, and further, pass first reading and hold public hearing and adoption at the February 16, 2016 City Council meeting, as presented) (This requires two readings and a public hearing)

  • Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions 10.14.1 Contractor agrees to comply fully with and be bound by all of the provisions of Chapter 12T, “City Contractor/Subcontractor Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions,” of the San Francisco Administrative Code (“Chapter 12T”), including the remedies provided, and implementing regulations, as may be amended from time to time. Contractor is required to comply with all of the applicable provisions of 12T, irrespective of the listing of obligations in this Section.   • Governing Laws The laws of British Columbia (the “Principal Regulator”) and the applicable laws of Canada will govern this Agreement.

  • CERTIFICATION PROHIBITING DISCRIMINATION AGAINST FIREARM AND AMMUNITION INDUSTRIES (Texas law as of September 1, 2021) By submitting a proposal to this Solicitation, you certify that you agree, when it is applicable, to the following required by Texas law as of September 1, 2021: If (a) company is not a sole proprietorship; (b) company has at least ten (10) full-time employees; (c) this contract has a value of at least $100,000 that is paid wholly or partly from public funds; (d) the contract is not excepted under Tex. Gov’t Code § 2274.003 of SB 19 (87th leg.); and (e) governmental entity has determined that company is not a sole-source provider or governmental entity has not received any bids from a company that is able to provide this written verification, the following certification shall apply; otherwise, this certification is not required. Pursuant to Tex. Gov’t Code Ch. 2274 of SB 19 (87th session), the company hereby certifies and verifies that the company, or association, corporation, partnership, joint venture, limited partnership, limited liability partnership, or limited liability company, including a wholly owned subsidiary, majority-owned subsidiary parent company, or affiliate of these entities or associations, that exists to make a profit, does not have a practice, policy, guidance, or directive that discriminates against a firearm entity or firearm trade association and will not discriminate during the term of this contract against a firearm entity or firearm trade association. For purposes of this contract, “discriminate against a firearm entity or firearm trade association” shall mean, with respect to the entity or association, to: “(1) refuse to engage in the trade of any goods or services with the entity or association based solely on its status as a firearm entity or firearm trade association; (2) refrain from continuing an existing business relationship with the entity or association based solely on its status as a firearm entity or firearm trade association; or (3) terminate an existing business relationship with the entity or association based solely on its status as a firearm entity or firearm trade association. See Tex. Gov’t Code § 2274.001(3) of SB 19. “Discrimination against a firearm entity or firearm trade association” does not include: “(1) the established policies of a merchant, retail seller, or platform that restrict or prohibit the listing or selling of ammunition, firearms, or firearm accessories; and (2) a company’s refusal to engage in the trade of any goods or services, decision to refrain from continuing an existing business relationship, or decision to terminate an existing business relationship to comply with federal, state, or local law, policy, or regulations or a directive by a regulatory agency, or for any traditional business reason that is specific to the customer or potential customer and not based solely on an entity’s or association’s status as a firearm entity or firearm trade association.” See Tex. Gov’t Code § 2274.001(3) of SB 19.

  • Consolidation of Committees The parties to this Agreement and to the Agreement concerning drug and alcohol testing and EAP between TWU Local 250A and the SFMTA may elect to combine the joint labor- management committee established here and in the Local 250A Agreement.

  • Adoption of Subsequent Orders to Incorporate Terms That a State Mortgage Regulator, if deemed necessary under the laws and regulations of the corresponding Participating State, may issue a separate administrative order to adopt and incorporate the terms and conditions of this Agreement. A State Mortgage Regulator may sua sponte issue such subsequent order without the review and approval of Respondent provided the subsequent order does not amend, alter, or otherwise change the terms of the Agreement. In the event a subsequent order amends, alters, or otherwise changes the terms of the Agreement, the terms of the Agreement, as set forth herein, will control.

  • Governance and Anticorruption 14. The Borrower, the Project Executing Agency, and the implementing agencies shall (a) comply with ADB’s Anticorruption Policy (1998, as amended to date) and acknowledge that ADB reserves the right to investigate directly, or through its agents, any alleged corrupt, fraudulent, collusive or coercive practice relating to the Project; and
