Consistent with Education Code. 87784, a Unit Member shall submit notification for personal necessity leave to his/her supervising Xxxx at least one (1) day prior to the beginning date of the leave, except where extenuating circumstances make this impossible. Such leave may be used at the election of the Unit Member who shall not be required to explain the reason. 4.10.2.1 This leave excludes use for recreation, prospective or actual employment, and union activity.
