Common use of Consumer Confidentiality Clause in Contracts

Consumer Confidentiality. The Union shall not seek information regarding the name, address, phone number or any other personal information regarding consumers. Union representatives and IPS shall maintain strict standards of confidentiality regarding consumers and shall not disclose personal information obtained, from whatever source, pertaining to consumers, unless disclosure is compelled by legal process or otherwise authorized by law. If consumer information is disclosed pursuant to this section, the consumer and the IHSS PA shall be notified of such release or disclosure immediately.
