Contact information services. Unless otherwise agreed, the customer’s and the user’s basic tele- phone subscription details are published, either by the telecommu- nications operator or by a third party, in contact information services, such as directory enquiries services and telephone directory services. The details may also be disclosed to a third party. The customer has the right to forbid the publication of all or part of their personal details in a contact information service. The customer also has the right to forbid the disclosure of their details to a third party. The customer may request that their incorrect details be corrected or that their details be removed free of charge. If an error in the contact details is attributable to the telecommuni- cations operator’s negligence, the telecommunications operator, at its discretion, either sees to it that the error is corrected and that the correction is communicated in the manner it deems appropriate, or alternatively compensates the customer for reasonable costs incurred to them as a result of correcting the error and communicating it. Any errors in a printed directory are corrected in the next edition.
