Common use of Continuation of the Municipal Employees’ Retirement System (MERS) Clause in Contracts

Continuation of the Municipal Employees’ Retirement System (MERS). The Employer agrees to continue to apply the Municipal Employees’ Retirement System (MERS) to employees in the bargaining unit represented by the Union for the duration of this Agreement as set forth in the plan, the terms and conditions of which are binding on the parties as though fully set forth herein, with the same benefits as presently in effect.

Continuation of the Municipal Employees’ Retirement System (MERS). The Employer agrees to shall continue to apply participate in the Municipal Employees’ Retirement System (MERS) to employees on the same basis as it currently participates, as such plan is in the bargaining unit represented effect and as it hereafter may be amended by the Union for the duration of this Agreement as set forth in the plan, the terms and conditions of which are binding on the parties as though fully set forth herein, with the same benefits as presently in effectMERS.
