Common use of Continuing Contract Clause in Contracts

Continuing Contract. 10.3.3.1 The second contract for a regular faculty member is the continuing contract for continuing employment. A continuing contract will not be offered to any faculty member who is not deemed to have a Master's degree or equivalent in accordance with the agreed criteria. Those faculty members having a continuing appointment as of August 1975 will not be affected by this clause. 10.3.3.2 Consideration for continuing contract requires the equivalent of three (3) full-time years of regular appointment. 10.3.3.3 By mutual agreement, in writing, a faculty member on a continuing contract can be employed on a less than full-time basis. 10.3.3.4 A faculty member employed on a less than full-time basis as provided in Article 10.3.3.3 above, shall be entitled to all benefits according to his/her reduced earnings.
