Common use of Continuity of Service Clause in Contracts

Continuity of Service. For the purpose of this Agreement continuous service with the same Employer will not be deemed to be broken by reason of the sale or transfer, including merger, of the Employer’s business to a new Employer who continues to employ such Employees. This clause shall not apply to Employees who have received redundancy compensation from the previous Employer and who are subsequently or immediately employed by the new business operator.
