Contribution to Indiana State Teacher Retirement Fund. The Corporation shall contribute three percent (3%) of each individual teacher’s salary to the Indiana State Teacher Retirement Fund on behalf of each teacher. In addition, the board shall contribute an additional five and one-half percent (5.5%) of each individual teacher’s salary to the Indiana State Teacher Retirement Fund on behalf of each teacher hired by the Corporation after July 1, 1996. Individual teacher contracts shall be based on a salary that does not include the contribution to the retirement fund. Notwithstanding the salary schedule contained herein the Corporation may place a teacher at a level on the salary schedule commensurate with this/her training and experience as related to his/her teacher assignment.
