Common use of Convalescence Benefit Clause in Contracts

Convalescence Benefit. If the Insured Person is hospitalised during the Policy Period for Medically Necessary treatment of an Accidental Injury that occurred during the Policy Period and the continuation of such Hospitalisation is Medically Necessary for at least 10 consecutive days, We will pay the amount as specified against this benefit in the Policy Schedule. This benefit is payable only once in a Policy Year towards an Insured Person.

Convalescence Benefit. If We will pay the Convalescence Benefit specified in the Policy Schedule if the Insured Person is hospitalised during the Policy Period hospitalised, for Medically Necessary treatment of an Accidental Injury that occurred sustained during an Accident which occurs during the Policy Period and the continuation of such Hospitalisation is Medically Necessary for at least 10 consecutive days, We will pay provided that the amount as specified against this benefit in hospitalization occurs within 7 days of the Policy Schedule. This benefit occurrence of the Accident and is payable paid only once in a Policy Year towards an Insured Person. The payment under this benefit is over and above the Sum Insured of the opted Benefits under any other Benefit.
