Cooperation on tourism. 1. Cooperation between the Parties shall primarily aim to improve the exchange of information and establish best practices in order to ensure a balanced and sustainable development of tourism.
2. In this context, the Parties shall focus in particular on:
(a) safeguarding and maximising the potential of natural and cultural heritage;
(b) respecting the integrity and interests of local communities;
(c) promoting cooperation between regions and towns in neighbouring countries;
(d) improving training in the hotel industry, with particular emphasis on hotel management and administration.
Cooperation on tourism. 1. The Parties shall promote mutual cooperation in developing tourism.
2. Such cooperation shall focus on:
(a) projects intended to create and consolidate tourist products and services of mutual interest or which hold an attraction for other markets of mutual interest;
(b) consolidation of long-haul tourist flows;
(c) reinforcing tourism promotion channels;
(d) training and education in tourism;
(e) technical assistance and pilot projects for developing special-interest tourism;
(f) exchanges of information on tourism promotion, integral planning of tourist destinations and quality of services; and
(g) using promotion instruments to develop tourism at local level.
Cooperation on tourism. The Parties agree that cooperation in this field shall aim to consolidate best practices in order to ensure balanced and sustainable development of tourism in the Central American region. Cooperation should aim to develop strategies better to position and promote the region in Europe as a competitive tourist multi-destination.
Cooperation on tourism. The Parties agree that cooperation in this field shall aim to:
(a) establish best practices in order to ensure balanced and sustainable development of tourism in the Andean region;
(b) improve the quality of the services offered to visitors;
(c) raise public awareness of the economic and social importance of tourism for the Andean region’s development;
(d) promote and develop ecotourism;
(e) promote the adoption of common policies on tourism in the framework of the Andean Community.
Cooperation on tourism. 1. Guided by the World Tourism Organization's Global Code of Ethics for Tourism and by the sustainability principles which are at the basis of the Local Agenda 21 process, the Parties shall aim to improve the exchange of information and establish best practice in order to ensure a balanced and sustainable development of tourism.
2. Both Parties agree to undertake a dialogue with the aim of facili tating cooperation, including technical assistance, in the areas of human resources training and development of new technology for destinations in accordance with sustainable tourism principles.
3. The Parties agree to develop cooperation on safeguarding and maximising the potential of natural and cultural heritage, mitigating any adverse impact of tourism and enhancing the positive contribution of the tourism business to the sustainable development of local commu nities, inter alia, by developing eco-tourism, while respecting the integrity and interests of local and indigenous communities, and improving training in the tourism industry.
